In 2025, five student teams from the UniC Network took on a major challenge: to devise and implement collective projects promoting climate action. Winners of the Climate Project Call for Proposals, these student groups received support and $5,000 in funding to bring their ideas to fruition. These projects are currently underway.

The كليمة KlimaTalk podcast

The كليمة KlimaTalk podcast democratizes climate information in a context of great vulnerability. By making scientific and political issues accessible, it promotes sustainable solutions and mobilizes citizens. This pilot project will produce eight episodes for the UniC Network, with a view to developing the podcast in 2026 with new partners.

FormaGaz

FormaGaz trains 400 people in the recovery of biodegradable waste through domestic methanization.
By mobilizing students, schoolchildren, farmers, and livestock breeders, this project promotes the production of biogas and compost to reduce local pollution and combat climate change.

Simple, collaborative, and transferable, FormaGaz paves the way for the replication of sustainable initiatives in other contexts.

Lex Climatica

Lex Climatica is a bilingual moot court competition in international climate law, conceived and run by committed students. It brings together participants from around the world to simulate climate trials, develop their litigation and advocacy skills, and propose concrete responses to global environmental issues.

VermiNurseries

VermiNurseries, supported by the non-profit organization MycoNurseries, transforms coffee grounds into sustainable resources! This innovative project combines mushroom cultivation and ecological composting to reduce waste and educate young people about environmental empathy.

Charette Villes en Commun

Charette Villes en Commun mobilizes students from all Quebec universities to imagine sustainable development solutions to the climate and socio-environmental challenges facing municipalities.
