Climate change and the deterioration of community spaces pose major challenges for younger generations, particularly within the university environment. The UniC Network, which operates at Alioune Diop University in Bambey (UADB), aims to combine practical action on campus with raising awareness of these issues.
The refurbishment of existing eco-benches demonstrates the students’ tangible local commitment to their living environment, whilst the network’s presentation aims to expand its membership base. The second day, organised online across the network, will bring together the various branches to focus on climate issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through a structured debate on the classification of SDG 13 according to the pillars of sustainable development.
